Making more referrals for children and families who won't qualify for special ed services, but still need the guidance to reshape a child's behavior and the way the parents respond to that behavior.

13. Would you recommend this consultation service to other childcare providers? Why or why not?
100% YES!! Child care providers do not get the support they need for struggling students because they don't fit into a narrow description of a qualifying diagnosis to get support from the local ISD/RESD. There are also no other programs available to both students and families as well as their early childhood teachers.

This consultation service should be state or federally funded with enough money for every early childhood building to have the support from its services!!!!

It is rapidly becoming a situation in early childhood classrooms of 2-5 yr olds where experienced and well qualified teachers are leaving the field or at least the direct instruction of children because they are getting beaten up on a daily basis or having their classrooms or other childrens' things destroyed by dysregulated children and not being able to give any attention to all of the other children. In some cases it is not worth it to stay even to those who are higher paid with benefits (which is unusual in this field). They are needing more support for those children who don't qualify for special ed services but have severe emotional and behavioral issues. The service can be truly seamless for the child both in the classroom and at home with support for all caregivers involved in the child's life.
